Azal (Arabic: “Eternity”) is a piece that focuses on the innermost human emotions and questions. At the heart of the work lies the search for a peaceful coexistence and a fair and just society.
Mahmoud composed this work for the Ensemble Péridot Salzburg and Peter Peinstingl. This piece is an audible realisation of the concept “Musical Resurrection”.
