Voice

The up-and-coming soprano Amelia Scicolone, born in Switzerland and trained at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel, has already achieved considerable success in her career and still faces a promising future. She graduated with honors in voice and honed her skills through master classes with renowned artists such as Thomas Hampson and Anne Sofie von Otter. She made her debut during her studies at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, where she performed as the Queen of the Night in “The Magic Flute” together with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. This success launched an impressive career. In 2022 she received the recognition award for music of the canton of Solothurn as well as scholarships from the Kurt and Barbara Alten Foundation and the Migros Kulturprozent.
Amelia Scicolone has been a permanent ensemble member at the Nationaltheater Mannheim since the 2017/18 season and has shone in important roles such as Adina in “L’elisir d’amore” and Norina in “Don Pasquale”. Her career also extends to concerts and song singing. In June 2024, under the direction of Peter Peinstingl, she will perform at the Mozart Festival Solothurn with the Ensemble Péridot Salzburg.
