Mairinger

Voice

Born in Lower Austria, the tenor began his musical career with the Altenburg Boys’ Choir. His education included musical studies at the Vienna Conservatory and a master’s degree in solo singing and lied/oratorio at the Music and Art University of Vienna (MuK), where he also successfully completed the course in classical operetta. In addition, master classes with renowned artists such as Michael Schade, Julius Drake, Graham Johnson and others enriched his skills. He is currently being vocally coached by Gerhard Kahry. Martin Mairinger has performed in leading houses such as the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Burgtheater, and at renowned festivals such as the Bregenz and Salzburg Festivals.
His international engagements have taken him to Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Belgium, Israel, Cyprus, Greece, South Africa, China and Japan. His impressive repertoire ranges from baroque music to contemporary compositions. He impersonated numerous roles in operas, operettas, musicals and drama productions. He can also be heard as a soloist in church masses and oratorios. Martin Mairinger has worked with an impressive list of directors and conductors. In June 2024 Martin Mairinger will perform with the Ensemble Péridot Salzburg under the direction of Peter Peinstingl at the Mozart Festival Solothurn.
