Romana Rauscher studied violin and viola at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where her most influential teachers were Ernst Kovacic and Hatto Beyerle. It was at this time that her lasting interest in historical performance practice and stylistics began. She has played for many years in the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg and has worked as a guest with other renowned (period instrument) ensembles. Performances as both a soloist and chamber musician have taken her to the main centres of the musical world; her artistic career also includes countless studio recordings in addition to radio and television broadcasts.
Alongside her performing career, she has specialised in the conceptualisation, organisation and execution of orchestral projects. While her wealth of experience as a practising musician flows into the realisation of these projects, it is her unparalleled artistic ambition, professionalism and efficiency that are paramount to their success.
